Up Ride to Linden Plantation 042509 Slideshow

Jackson HOG follows a sunken road back to visit an 1820's plantation near Vicksburg, Mississippi. While there we were the guests of Joy and Bryan Brabston. Mr Brabston is descendent of the 1827 founder John Wesley Vick and his bride Anne Marie Brabston. Linden has been said to be "one of the loveliest landscapes in America". - Delta Steamship Company... Our thanks to the Brabston's for being our hosts and graciously opening their home to take us back 160 years. Linden has been featured in many magazines and books, and Joy's story of her endless work in restoration of the gardens and design of the home was indeed an inspiration.
